hadros Recruitment has partnered with a leading global energy conglomerate that is looking for a HSE Manager to join their rapidly growing Solar PV team in Asia to develop, implement and monitor their HSE policies and programs across the region. 

Based in Thailand, the HSE Manager will work closely with the Country Manager and Regional Director to oversee all HSE activities, ensuring that employees and contractors achieve a zero accident rate. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee, implement, and ensure adherence to the company’s HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies, procedures, and programs throughout the region.
  • Develop and localize HSE procedures and templates, translating them into local languages as needed, in alignment with corporate guidelines.
  • Provide technical support to the Country Manager, Regional Director, and operations managers regarding their HSE responsibilities.
  • Ensure all project contractors comply with relevant legislation and Group HSE standards, working closely with project managers to achieve this.
  • Evaluate and qualify new contractors from an HSE perspective, and review their HSE performance upon project completion.
  • Examine and approve HSE Plans, Procedures, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Permit-to-Work documents for projects, ensuring all Health, Safety, and Environmental documentation meets both Group and local requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections of construction sites and maintenance operations to verify compliance with HSE plans and procedures.
  • Identify potential hazards at every project stage, including during design reviews, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Monitor the implementation of environmental mitigation measures during both construction and operations & maintenance (O&M) phases.
  • Assist Project Managers in issuing improvement or prohibition notices to contractors, and in establishing recommendations and corrective actions.
  • Lead incident investigations and prepare comprehensive HSE reports.
  • Organize and deliver HSE training for company staff, and coordinate HSE awareness events such as the World Day for Safety & Environment.
  • Gather and report relevant H3SE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) data as required.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and/or project management role.
  • Demonstrated commitment to strict HSE standards, with no tolerance for deviations.
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of effective collaboration within project teams.
  • Previous experience working on renewable energy, power, or infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
