hadros Recruitment is working closely alongside an international pension fund that is looking for a Non-Executive Director (NED) to join the board of a leading renewable energy platform focused on solar, wind, and energy storage assets across Asia.

This strategic role offers the opportunity to provide independent oversight, shape high-impact investment decisions, and drive portfolio growth in one of the world's fastest-expanding sustainable energy markets. Reporting to key institutional investors, the NED will play a pivotal part in enhancing governance, mitigating risks, and unlocking value from a diversified regional portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver strategic guidance on portfolio optimization across Asia, including asset performance enhancement and risk mitigation.
  • Attend 4-6 board meetings annually, plus investor updates, contributing insights on market trends and governance best practices.
  • Actively originate and pursue new investment deals in Japan's renewable sector, utilizing personal networks for partnerships and opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience
  • 15+ years in renewable energy, private equity, or infrastructure investments, with proven success in Japan and Southeast Asia.
  • Strong track record in deal origination, asset management, and stakeholder engagement at C-suite or board level.
  • Deep networks among investors, developers, and regulators in Japan; familiarity with corporate governance and ESG principles.
Time Commitment and Remuneration
  • Approximately 20-30 days per year, including travel for meetings.
  • Competitive fee structure plus equity incentives, commensurate with impact delivered.
